I'll be honest: 95% of my weekend is typically spent in something comfy.
But sometimes, I get sick of wearing the same old leggings and a shirt to run errands or take my kids to a birthday party.
It's easy to fall into a style rut when comfort is a priority, but mixing things up a bit can make a huge difference in how you feel and look.
So, if you're ready to break free from the legging monotony, here are some of my favorite options to keep it comfy while adding a little variety to your weekend wardrobe.
Overalls for Fall Y'all
Since it's getting cooler out, my go-to for Fall is overalls. They are a game-changer for the mom on the go. You can layer them, keep them casual, and be comfortable but they still look somewhat cute. This black pair from American Eagle is pretty nice for going from brunch to getting out and about.
Jogger Sweatpants
Sweatpants are back in style -- or so I'm telling myself. To keep it cute match them with a sweatshirt like these from the Gap. They're honestly so soft, that I might just buy them in all colors. Size up for extra comfy.
Comfy Rompers
Rompers are like jumpsuits’ playful cousins. They offer the same ease of wear with the added convenience of shorts. A well-fitted romper in a soft fabric can be your go-to for a quick trip to the park or a casual outing. Layer with a lightweight cardigan if the weather’s cooler. Their only downside is you're most likely getting naked to go to the bathroom. Here's a cute find from Amazon, that gets tons of compliments!
Matching Sets
Honestly, this just makes getting dressed easy, grab the shirt that matches the pants! This outfit feels polished without being overly formal, making it perfect for those days when you need a bit more structure. My favorite Amazon set linked here, runs small order up 1 size.
Chunky Knit Sweaters with Leggings (for a Twist)
Okay, okay, leggings do sneak in here, but with a twist! Swap your usual top for a chunky knit sweater. The oversized look paired with leggings creates a cozy and stylish contrast that feels fresh and put-together.
Slip Dresses Over Tees
Slip dresses like this aren’t just for dressy occasions. Throw one over a basic tee and pair with sneakers or sandals for a fun, relaxed look. This layering trick adds a touch of sophistication to an otherwise casual outfit, perfect for those spontaneous weekend plans.
Happy styling!
